Harley, Jonathan Chevrier, Asa Bradman, Katherine Kogut, Karen Huen, and Brenda Eskenazi Environ Health Perspect 123(6):636–642 (2015), http://dx.doi.org/10.1289/ehp.1408417 In Figure 1A, which represents the association between the difference in BMI z-score at age 7 and maternal serum PBDEs (ng/lipid), the line of the upper confidence interval of ∑4PBDE for girls incorrectly crossed the zero-line: The upper interval for girls is −0.05 and should appear below the zero-line. The corrected Figure 1 appears in this erratum.

In Utero and Childhood Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE) Exposures and Neurodevelopment in the CHAMACOS Study
BACKGROUND California children's exposures to polybrominated diphenyl ether flame retardants (PBDEs) are among the highest worldwide. PBDEs are known endocrine disruptors and neurotoxicants in animals. OBJECTIVE Here we investigate the relation of in utero and child PBDE exposure to neurobehavioral development among participants in CHAMACOS (Center for the Health Assessment of Mothers and Chi...
متن کاملIn Utero and Childhood Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether Exposures and Body Mass at Age 7 Years: The CHAMACOS Study
BACKGROUND Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are lipophilic flame retardants that bioaccumulate in humans. Child serum PBDE concentrations in California are among the highest worldwide. PBDEs may be associated with obesity by disrupting endocrine systems. OBJECTIVE In this study, we examined whether pre- and postnatal exposure to the components of pentaBDE mixture was associated with chi...
متن کاملChildren’s Health In Utero and Childhood Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether (PBDE) Exposures and Neurodevelopment in the CHAMACOS Study
results: Maternal prenatal PBDE concentrations were associated with impaired attention as mea sured by a continuous performance task at 5 years and maternal report at 5 and 7 years of age, with poorer fine motor coordination—particularly in the nondominant—at both age points, and with decrements in Verbal and FullScale IQ at 7 years. PBDE concentrations in children 7 years of age were signifi...
متن کاملPrenatal and childhood polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) exposure and attention and executive function at 9-12 years of age.
OBJECTIVE California children's exposures to polybrominated diphenyl ether flame retardants (PBDEs) are among the highest measured worldwide. We previously reported associations for prenatal and childhood PBDE exposures with decrements in attention, processing speed, fine motor coordination, and cognition in children at ages 5 and 7 years. Here, we investigate associations of PBDEs with attenti...
متن کاملIn utero and childhood DDT, DDE, PBDE and PCBs exposure and sex hormones in adolescent boys: The CHAMACOS study.
Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT), polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are believed to be endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) in humans and animals. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship of in utero and childhood exposure to these purported EDCs and reproductive hormones in adolescent boys who participated in CHAMA...
